Professional Interests

  • Application of computational, statistical and empirical approaches to the analysis of behavioral and physiological data.
  • Development of computational models and using them to enhance our understanding of the relationship between brain functions and behaviors.
  • Development and evaluation of engineering systems that improve the care of patients with neurodegenerative disease and elders, improve their quality of life and enable such care to be delivered at the point of care, outside of clinics, e.g. homes.
  • Specific examples include the unobtrusive monitoring and modeling of gait, activities of daily living, analysis and modeling of computer games, medication adherence, and similar domains where behavioral markers may reveal aspects of cognitive function.
